Yes, I am a dork. No, I do not care what you think of my collecting dolls at age 19. It makes me happy.
Hailey
Name: Hailey Maria Brooks
Doll: Chrissa / Grace
Age: 15
Live in: she lives in a suburban house on the East Side of Orlando, Florida. She used to live in Kissimmee, but her family has recently moved.
Languages: Speaks English, Polish, Spanish, & French. She’s slowly learning other languages on Duolingo, but likes to say she’s fluent in them. She’s not.
What era she lives in: Modern
Where she attends school: home schooled
Favorite color: Purple & Blue
Favorite past-time: learning about other cultures, especially the ones you don’t often hear about, dancing, science, reading…
Personality: shy, but eager once you know her, quirky, clever, but a bit ditzy.
Brief biography: Hailey’s main interest is studying Anthropology, but she likes all science in general. Her other favorites are biology and astronomy.
Hailey lives in the suburbs with her professor father and journalist mother. Since she is an only child, she is very spoiled with all the books, clothes, and toys she wants.
Hailey loves to eat food from around the world, even though she is vegetarian and has to find ways to make the food fit her diet. Her favorite at the moment is pao quejio, but that will change very quickly. Other foods she has tried and likes are kim-chee, yucca, papaya salad, coconut stew, and naan bread.
Hailey does ballet and other dances classes, and likes playing tennis, but is not very good at it. She plays guitar (badly) and sings very well, but is otherwise artistically challenged. Being a bit of a dork, Hailey has a love of 1960’s sci-fi and music, namely Doctor Who, Star Trek, James Bond, and The Beatles.

Ola
Name: Aleksandra “Ola” Panaszczyk
Based on: my mom. She was a child in the 1970′s in communist Poland.
Age: 11
Live in: a pretty big apartment (for Poland) in an old building in the town square of a small city.

What era she lives in: 1970′s
Where she attends school: Publiczna Szkoła 5 (Public School 5)
Favorite color: Lavender
Favorite past-time: learning new things, knitting
Personality: smart, brave, kind, a little foolish
Brief biography: Ola loves her country, even though she thinks it’s unfair for her to have to get up at 5 am to stand in line for butter and milk. She loves school and learning new things, especially languages. She’s studying Russian in school and German from her mother.
Ola lives with her Mama, Tata (dad), little brother, and big sister. She’s often bullied by her older sister, Teresa, but when Mama’s looking, Teresa’s in trouble.
Ola wants to learn to play piano, but she can’t have lessons unless her family buys a piano, which they can’t afford. She sings in the school choir, is an excellent artist, and likes to read classic books like Pan Tadeusz (Sir Thadeus). She hates sports, even though her parents force her to do ballet. She loves watching Bolek i Lolek even though she’s a bit older than the target audience, and the Russian cartoon Nu Pogodi .

    • Hi AGGirl234, I came up with the idea for Lark yesterday while dressing her for Hannukkah. She’s a regular uncostimzed Sonali that I haven’t yet taken a picture I can use for her profile.

  1. That is sooo awesome. I love Ola. My dad grew up in communist Poland, and I speak Polish fluently, and love my 2 country! Do you know any Polish?

  2. yeah probably. Yay that’s cool! We can comment sometimes in polish. Nie martw sie, tez okropnie pisze po polsku. I go to polish class at school. Nie cierpie Gramatyki. That’s so awesome

    • I live in Florida. My only language options are Spanish and French, so I can’t exactly take a Polish class, lol. I use google translate to help me with spelling, although I don’t use their sentences cause 1. I’m a girl and they use the masculine words, and 2. their translations suck. Wole uzyc wlasne slowa.

      • Too true. In Florida, the schools only let you choose from two languages. And I hate that because I want to learn languages other then Spanish. I go to a virtual school, and high schoolers can only take French, Chinese and Spanish. 😦

I saw that in other virtual schools in other states, you can take German, Chinese, Japanese, French And Spanish.

  3. tak, tez tak mysle. Their translations are pretty bad. Still, mozemy commentowac po Polsku. I still can’t get over how cool this is!
