Because I’m bored, I decided to make up some historical characters I’d like to see. Most of these are more apropriate for Dear Americas, but some are for AG.
A 1920s girl who’s older sister is a rebellious flapper and goes to speakeasies. More for Dear America, as this would be really inapropriate for AG.
A Cuban girl in Miami who sees the Cuban Missile Crisis. Could honestly work for either.
A 1920s Chinese paper daughter. I loved this aspect of Julie’s mystery, and would make a great excuse for an Asian historical.
A girl who witnesses 9/11.
A 1980s Cold War girl. Also, since My Story England & France have both branched out into Europe, a girl who sees the Berlin Wall fall.
A 1939 Polish girl, preferably non-Jewish. The war affected other people too.
A 1450s girl who sees the 100 Years War.
A Space Race girl who dreams of being an austronaut.
A 1960s civil rights girl.
A Bleeding Kansas girl. Because that was the unofficial start of the Civil War.
A Hawaiian girl in 1889, when the Americans took over.
A Korean War girl.
A Louisiana Purchase girl.
A Y2K girl.
A Hurricane Katrina girl.
An 1814 girl who witnesses the battle of NOLA. Because there is no hope that Caroline will.
